Emily Vero is a rising senior at Youngstown State University. She is an Integrated Language Arts Education (7-12) major and has worked at the Writing Center since her freshman year. “I truly believe that tutoring has enriched my college experience in so many ways. I have the privilege to work with so many people of so many different backgrounds. Tutoring has helped me become a more empathetic, open-minded, and well-rounded person overall. Some of my best YSU memories are memories I have of working with clients at the Writing Center. I truly believe my experience with diverse clients of various cultures, languages, and skill levels will help me far beyond my college years.” Emily has also completed an extra peer education honors course with Writing Center Director Angela Messenger.
